Nanyang Junior Colleage
Wushu Kickboxing & Tai Chi Combo Workout

This is to certify that the following coaches, Yip See Kit and Diana Ng Bee Ching of NewAgeTaichi Pte Ltd had conducted the Wushu, Kickboxing & Tai Chi Combo course for the JC1 students from Nanyang Junior College on 11th March 2010.

The coaches were very well prepared in their teaching of this course. The students really appreciate what they had done and they had really benefitted from this course which taught them different Wushu, Kickboxing and Tai Chi moves.

It was definitely an eye-opening with memorable fun-filled experience; especially the Kickboxing aspect did fascinate the students and was refreshing and reinvigorating. The coaches were effective in pin-pointing their common mistakes and were very friendly and approachable.

The students’ feedbacks were very positive. Eu Jian Sheng of Class 1004 says “I feel that the lesson is delivered smoothly and that the 2 coaches really ensure that all of us really learn well and get the right concept. Within this short 2 hours, I truly enjoy and have learn much of the basics of the Wushu, Kickbox and Tai Chi. Thank You!”

Another student, Andre Lee of Class 1018 feedback, “Fun and quite educational. Coaches teach us how to execute moves properly and safely without injuring ourselves. The course is good although the things taught were basics; we still get to understand the sport better.”

Overall, we are pleased with the team of coaches from NewAgeTaichi Pte Ltd for their professionalism and dedication. Looking forward to working with them again in the near future.

This experience is very memorable and I hope to learn more if I have the opportunity. Through this experience, I also learn how to defend myself and have a little taste of what Kickbox and Wushu is all about. The coaches are quite effective in pin-pointing our common mistakes and are very friendly
- Cheong Mun Hong, Class 1016
The session was enjoyable because it was completed within a short time. I liked the kickboxing part the best, especially because we had the opportunity to use the different target bags. Both coaches were equally friendly and approachable. Overall, I had a good time. Thank you.
- Dhivya, Class 1002
I feel that the lesson is delivered smoothly and that the 2 coaches really ensure that all of us really learn well and get the right concept. Within this short 2 hours, I truly enjoy and learn much of the basics of the Wushu, Kickbox and Tai Chi. Thank You!
- Eu Jian Sheng, Class 1004
I feel that the course is interesting but the duration is too short. I like the start of the class, whereby we learn the Wushu and the Tai Chi movement. The kickboxing is also very useful.
- Guo Shan, Class 1014
The coaches are very friendly and enthusiastic in teaching us, and are often looking out for our mistakes. I enjoyed today's lesson immensely as I have exposure to more self-defence skills as well as good interaction between our peers. 加油 to the coaches!
- Li Hong, Class 1015
The whole learning process was enjoyable and fun-filled. Instructions were delivered clearly and the coaches were approachable and friendly. It was a good exposure for me. I like all the sections (Wushu, Kickbox and Tai Chi). It was certainly a fun-filled experience.
- Wei Mei, Class 1015
I find that the 3 components - Wushu, Tai Chi and Kickboxing interesting and I enjoyed the whole duration of the lesson. The coaches, Coach Yip and Coach Diana are helpful and gives clear instructions. Sufficient time is also given to us to absorb what we have just learnt and then try everything out. I am satisfied of the course and if there is another opportunity, I may want to join again.
- Sim Dolly, Class 1018
I think that the coaches are very well prepared in their teaching of this course. I really appreciate what they had done and I really benefitted from this course where I learnt different Wushu and Kickboxing moves. I think that the course could be longer.
- Po Jun Fai Javier, Class 1013
It was fun and I learn the different techniques which would minimise the injury when carried out. I feel more "alive" after the kickboxing session. I like Kickboxing best as it is fun and we tend to use more strength unlike Wushu and Tai Chi where we have to control which is much more tiring (especially the legs!).
- Annie Wai, Class 1008
It was definitely an eye-opening experience. It did not seem as boring as the name Wushu suggests, a definite fun experience although the initial activity was not as interesting. However, the Kickboxing aspect did fascinate me and was refreshing and reinvigorating.
- Chua Nadelyn, Class 1008
Overall, it was fun, the Tai Chi and Wushu mixed thing is very easy to learn. The Kickboxing part is also interesting, although I still sometimes start off with a right cross instead of a left jab.
- Shawn Lim, Class 1018
I get to know more about martial arts after this course. Previously, I thought it is very odd to do the movements but now I find out that they had different purposes and they can help us to exercise. Ain't that cool.
- Lim Jing Ting, Class 1018
I now know more about Wushu and Kickboxing. I realize from this course that the coaches emphasize that whatever moves, safety is priority and self-defense moves are really cool.
- Shi Lin, Class 1018
My favourite part of the course is during the warm up. The stretching exercise is really good. Kickboxing is fun too. It will help me to become more flexible and healthy.
- Melvin Chew, Class 1003
I actually learned Wushu and Kickboxing before but that was during my primary and secondary school days so I actually forgot some of the movements already. Hence, it was recap for me when I attend this course. I felt a sense of achievement after completing the course.
- Andre Lee, Class 1003
Fun, Funny and easy. But of course, it's just an introduction. Don't mind learning more, especially the Kickboxing part.
- Teo Wei Cheng, Class 1003
Fun but quite tiring. The coaches were clear in their explaination and it was easy to follow the steps. However, maybe teaching Wushu and Tai Chi as seprate exercise would serve to give it a more interesting learning experience. Furthermore, the coaches were very patient and helpful too.
- Zhang LiQi, Class 1002
Coach instructions are clear and experience was enriching, there is still room for improvement. Wish to attend the session again.
- Lai Xing Lai, Class 1019
The course is pretty fun and enjoyable. It also feels good to learn new skills like the Wushu, Kickbox and Tai Chi. More moves should be taught as I feel that there are too little moves.
- Ding Yiqun, Class 1019
I am exposed to some of the different types of Kicking so that I can have a feel of what Wushu or Kickboxing is like. However, it is a bit short and we didn't learn enough.
- Tan Xue Ying, Class 1002
I have learnt about the Wushu, Kickbox and Tai Chi combo which I usually see on television but I have no chance to learn it. I enjoyed the tryout session and hope next time, we can have the chance to try out with the sword for Wushu.
- Aui Ting, Class 1003
This workshop is quite different from what I expected since I have not been exposed to Wushu or Kickboxing in the past. It is quite interesting and some moves can prove to be useful as self defense techniques.
- Ronathan, Class 1009
I have learnt the basic technique of Wushu, Kickbox and Tai Chi and know more about them. I like the try-out session of Kickbox which we get to hit the target bag. I wish next time we can have the chance to practice with the sword.
- Chen Pei Yu, Class 1002
I've enjoyed the Wushu, Kickbox Tai Chi combo. The coaches are helpful and friendly. I've learnt something new. I like the kickboxing activity best.
- Athalie, Class 1019
The kickboxing session was fun but the Wushu movements were not so fun. Kickboxing session could be longer instead of splitting the time into half. The coaches were equally nice and thoughtful!.
- Samantha Toh, Class 1002
This event has allowed me to gain an insight about Chinese Martial Arts. I love the whole event, especially letting us try out the kickboxing on the target bag. The coaches are excellent as they would correct our mistakes and offer assistance when we are in need of help. They are also very kind and friendly.
- Toh Chong Cheng, Class 1015
Our coaches are patient and friendly. I learned some basic technique during Wushu period. I love Wushu most, and I would like to learn more if possible.
- Cai Yihua, Class 1014
It is fun and interesting and I have learnt a lot from this course. I like kickboxing the best as it can come in useful one day. Overall, the course is fun.
- Kelly Ooi, Class 1001
Fun and quite educational. Coaches teach us how to execute moves propely and safely without injuring ourselves. The course is good although the things taught were basics, we still get to understand the sport better.
- Andre Lee, Class 1018
Very fun and interesting. I learnt a lot in this session. The coach is very funny and teaches very well. I found out kickboxing is quite fun, and it can keep me healthy.
- Yan Jing, Class 1017
This was my first time learning Wushu, the session has made me gain more interest in it and I would like to learn more indepth of martial arts and wushu. I wish that the lesson can involve more of the arts of Tai Chi as well.
- Au Yong Kai Ling Corrine, Class 1002
It is quite fun and enjoyable especially the kickboxing part as it is the most exhaustive. The coach is quite skilled and handsome.
- Hian Yiaw, Class 1014
