Optimal Postural Alignment Using Tai Chi Principles

太极拳是一项适合不同年龄锻炼的健身运动,太极拳汇集了中国古代保健体操与武术之精华.其内涵博大精深,健身作用独特.新世纪太极的发展与推广到至今已让成上千的人收益无穷.从3岁小孩到70多岁的乐龄人士,不分男女老少与种族国际都从学习太极,练习太极的过程中得到了身心与健身的内外修行.

我们的学员包括了专业人士,学生,小孩, 马来同胞,印度同胞和外国同胞各阶层人士.即使你是刚开始接触运动或正在疗养中,还是已积极地参与体育运动,或是因为工作和家庭的负担,而缺少锻炼的条件等原因积少参加体育锻炼,新世纪太极的宗旨是要通过太极拳的修炼方法与大众分享,使每个人都能够达到全面的体魄与身心上的提升而不是因为错误的运动概念与不正确的动作姿势而导致肌肉与关节的劳损.

在新世纪太极,我们坚信每一个人的体能与学习能力都是独特的,因此我们在传授太极拳的教材与训练方法时选择了因材施教的方式. 新世纪太极结合了太极拳的要领与运动科学的理论,符合人体生理特点,有利于身心健身健康全面发展,符合于现代体育科学的要求,更把学习太极拳的要领容入在日常生活中的动作,使得它非常生活化.

Wushu workshop for kids and parents

在新加坡,总死亡率的统计由慢性疾病而导致死亡的占了83%.由于快节奏的生活情况下,太极拳的健身锻炼更能表现其不可代替的作用. 越来越多人都有肌肉关节劳损所带来的疼痛, 尤其是在膝盖, 肩膀和腰部分. 这些都是由于拥有不正确的身体姿势和少接触运动所产生的问题. 新世纪太极的训练课程其中的一环就是注重于如何预防与减除这些肌肉或关节的损伤,调整身体姿势与协调,无论是行住坐卧都可以运用太极拳中的要领来保持全面的身心与体魄的发展. 除此之外,我们的训练课程也注重于增大肌肉收缩伸展和关节的运动幅度,防止或延缓关节骨质增生和韧带肌肉的退行性变化,因而使关节疼痛症状减轻.

太极拳一直都让许多人认为是老人才练的运动.为了可以打破这个思想观念,把太极拳推广给更多的小孩与青少年,我们与新加坡体育理事会和教育部合作推出了一系列与众不同的太极与武术的课程活动,把传统的太极拳添加了崭新的元素,使它更丰富与新鲜,吸引更多年轻人去认识与学习太极而从中了解太极拳. 不仅如此,我们也通过了太极武术的课程活动, 让全家都可以在一起学习太极的过程中促进家庭凝聚力. 我们的课程包括 “Tai Chi Kickboxing”, “Let's Play Wushu”, “武术玩FUN天”, “武术健身操”, “Cardio Tai Chi”, “太极射击”, 等等.
