Sun Style Taichi Quan

Created by Grandmaster Sun Lutang, Sun-style Tai Chi blends the essence of Xing Yi, Bagua, and Wu-style Tai Chi into a seamless, elegant form.

This competition routine showcases its unique style:

☯ High frame, agile steps

☯ Upright posture, smooth transitions

☯ Gentle yet powerful — full of internal strength

☯ Fluid like drifting clouds and flowing water

Also known as "Open-Close Agile-Step Tai Chi", this routine emphasizes:

✔️ Step coordination (advance must follow, retreat must withdraw)

✔️ Frequent appearance of "Open-Close Hands"

✔️ Dynamic body movements, especially in “Jin Ji Du Li”, “Yun Shou”, “Yu Nu Chuan Suo”

Divided into six segments, with 73 movements, it is highly structured, not difficult to memorize, and fully meets modern competition standards — making it a beautiful and disciplined expression of internal martial arts.
