NewAge Pilates
What is Pilates?

Pilates is one of the most effective forms of exercise for improving stamina, coordination, strength, general health, vitality, and concentration.

Pilates focus on developing the principles on both balanced body and mind through correct breathing, mental control, and natural physical exercise.

This combination is a key foundation for other activities and exercises. It is also the basis for improving spinal alignment, increasing strength and flexibility, promoting rehabilitation and fostering excellence in a wide range of athletic activities.

Pilates at a young age, learn about their body mechanics, good posture alignment, relaxation breathing, and the mental connection to each, they will grow with less wear and tear in general life activities and sport.

Through Pilates, children and teens can also gain awareness of their body, learn how to move efficiently and prevent injury and pain, even out any muscle imbalances – and over time correct (or ideally avoid) the well known “teenage slump” posture!!

Corporate Pilates

NewAge Pilates

Since the incresing popularity of its effectiveness, Pilates has in recent years continued to grow in popularity, among office executives. Daily movement is fast becoming a necessity in people’s lives due to the sedentary nature of many of our work environments and lifestyles.

Corporate Pilates is an excellent way to help you and your employees benefit from movement and increase productivity.

What are the benefits of Pilates?

An increased level of body awareness and muscle control allows them to better perform activities they had found difficult in the past, and focusing on a mind body connection is also a very effective way for them to switch off from the mental pressure of the school day. Such benefits are clearly in a child’s interest and help provide a good foundation for an active, healthy life.

In Pilates, students learn physical skills while incorporating awareness of their body (focused awareness, concentration, coordination, healthy breathing, mindful movement and control of movement). Students strengthen the connections between building strength and flexibility while creating a strong connection to their body – with the intention of fostering greater mental fitness, emotional intelligence, physical well-being and social competence.

The focus on visualization helps children discover what few learn during their lives. The mind body connection is the key to a healthy body. A consistent profound inwardly directed focus on the images is the secret to this program’s safety and success. It addresses the needs of the mind and body working together as a strong team.

The key to healthy posture lies in understanding and developing an awareness of your body.

A majority of your day may be spent sitting; standing, lifting or otherwise and can determine the postural habits and problems from which you suffer. Along with your individual posture type, the postural habits you take on board over the years can lead to muscle imbalance and eventually to pain.

Joseph H. Pilates said, “In 10 sessions, you will feel the difference. In 20, you will see the difference. And in 30, you’ll be on your way to having a whole new body.”

Correct practice does make perfect!
