四十二式太极拳
在1989,中国武术研究会召集了中国各位出名的武术教练和运动员编创一系列的武术竞赛套路.这些竞赛套路包含了长拳,南拳,太极拳,刀,剑棍和枪术.其中所编创的就是四十二式太极拳竞赛套路.

在保持原由传统套路的风格特点,这些竞赛套路在设计上都有一定的动作规范和演练时间.同时也被列为各大武术比赛中的必备项目.

四十二式太极拳竞赛套路包含了各式太极拳的风格特点,包括陈,杨,孙,吴式和八卦掌.运动员必须对各家太极拳有一定的了解和基础.这套四十二式太极拳竞赛套路也被称为综合太极拳.

“四十二式太极拳竞赛套路”全套共分四段,里头有不少腿法和发劲等难动作.运动队必须在体能与技术上有很好的基础.这也是为了提高比赛的水准.整套的四十二式太极拳的设计结构合理,丰富和富有观赏性.

太极者,无极而生,阴阳之母也.动之则分,静之则合.无过不及,随屈就伸.
