There's a saying that being a world champion is not easy, but to develop a world class champion is even harder, especially when Liu Guo Dong had developed more than 1 world class athlete in table tennis.

If it was to be in a business setting, he would have been highly sought after as CEO or some director post in another big company for his contribution and experience and don't think much news report would be heard. There are actually so many cases where people switch jobs for a better perspective, that's why we have so many foreign worker and talents coming to Singapore. What's more, he has shown his coaching capabilities by helping Singapore winning the long awaited Olympic Silver Medal. The only difference he is in a Sporting industry....

If STTA really shows their appreciation, they won't just offer him that amount of increment. Come on, people from other countries are already taking Liu Guo Dong as a rare treasure and offering him so much higher and giving him the amount of recognition he deserves...Who are we to judge if he's right or wrong?

Would people still bother to share their feedbacks if the women did not win the olympic medal and his salary was reduced instead? Guess some people might even say that he deserves to get his salary reduced......that's just very ironical, especially when Singapore keep mentioning about build a Sports Hub and gathering talent........where in reality things don't look like what it is meant to be.

Whatever it is, I'm sure there are always many countries who are more than happy with Singapore Table Tennis Associsation new offer........Guess it would really look ironic if the 2012 London Olympic Liu Guo Dong to be leading his team from another country and defeating Singapore team........will the people choose to condemn him again??? In the very first place........we are the one who don't know how to cherish his talent...........think again......think harder......
